Annie JR. - Audition Workshop

During  this workshop, students will be able to practice and prepare audition materials for Interval's summer musical program. If your student is interested in auditioning, this workshop is the right place to get started. Whether it’s your first or fifteenth audition, this workshop will offer exceptional theatrical training to meet each student exactly at their stage of performing arts development. Get to know your theater instructors, learn about proper audition etiquette, ask questions about the musical process & experience, and work with the sides and songs for the upcoming auditions. 

Fee: $20

February 14, 2026, 12:30 PM-2:30 PM, Ages 7-9 

March 7, 2026, 12:30 PM-2:30 PM, Ages 10-15

Annie JR. - Auditioned Roles (ages 8-18)

As a part of this experience, students will bring dancing, singing, and acting together in this exciting, family-friendly, familiar, and inspiring title! Please join us this summer as Interval Performing Arts offers auditions, rehearsals, and performances designed to provide educational opportunities to practice confidence, leadership, musical theater dance, memorization, vocal technique, team building, and so much more!

Complete Registration includes:

- 2 or 3 performances at Church Street Auditorium in Historic Downtown McKinney

- 2 general admission tickets for family/friends

- Costume

- Rehearsals and auditions led by professional directorial team at Interval Performing Arts in Melissa, TX

Audition Ages: 8-18 years (see Ensemble for ages 5-7)

Audition Dates: Tuesday, April 14th 7:30-9:00 PM & Friday, April 17th 7:00-8:30 PM
Sign-ups  are required. The sign-up link will be received in an email following  registration. Auditions will be held in 30 minute increments. Students  will not need to attend both audition dates.

Callback Date & Time: Friday, May 1st 5:30-8:00 pm 

Audition Expectations: Once registered for the production, an email will be sent to you with  specific pieces to prepare and the audition sign up link. Students will be asked to prepare and perform one side and one 16-32 bar cut from the  musical, preselected by the Directorial Team. ***Side is a small portion of text/dialogue directly pulled from the script utilized for  audition purposes.

Tuition: $450 ($100 Audition Deposit Due at Registration)

Rehearsals: 

Fridays, May 8th-July 24th, 5:30-8:00 pm & Saturday, June 13th 1:00-4:00 PM

No rehearsal June 19th or July 3rd

Performances/Tech Week:

Annie Jr. - NYC Ensemble (ages 5-7, no experience necessary!)

Calling all aspiring performers! If you are between the ages of 5-7 years old and excited to participate in Interval Performing Arts' third musical, Ensemble is the right place for you. Interval Performing Arts is offering an ensemble focused course to highlight younger performers. All enrollments will be accepted into the NYC Ensemble. No auditions will be required for this course. Students will learn beginning level musical  theater dances and perform at the Church Street Auditorium, Wednesday, July 29th - Saturday, August 1st. Students will embark on an epic journey through characterization, ensemble development, teambuilding, production preparation, tech week survival guidance, and beginning-level  concepts for musical theater dance through the wonderful world of Annie JR. Please join us this Summer as we learn all about Annie JR.

Ages: 5-7 years

Tuition: $300 ($100 Audition Deposit Due at Registration)

Rehearsals: Fridays, May 8th-July 25th, 4:00-5:00 PM

No rehearsal June 19th or July 3rd

Performances/Tech Week:
